We dived along the headland that is on the eastern side of the beach.
DIVE SITE DESCRIPTION
This is not a bad dive to acclimatise yourself with when you first go to Byron Bay. There aren’t many fish to look at but lots of weeds and sponges etc.
One thing to be careful of here: Check what the currents are doing. We entered the water in no current at all and attempting to exit we came across a 2 to 3 knot current, going out to sea. Ended up dropping weight belts in shallow water and walking out, taking off gear on the beach the recovering the belts!
