Guys,
I have been using twin Halcyon Scout backup torches for some time. Mine are about 7 years old - I guess.
They use 3 x C cells and have an incandescent bulb with reflector.
Does anyone know of an LED replacement bulb or LED bulb/reflector?
Thanks
Greg

hey mate,
The cheapest option for you would be getting a underwater kinetics LED kit for a "SL4??". I'm pretty sure they fit into the scouts no dramas.

Hi Greg,
As mentioned get yourself a couple of UK SL4 eLED tourches and use the LED bulb out of them and put them in your Scouts(you then have two spare torches). You will need to reverse the polarity by reversing the batteries and you will also need to run some electrical tape around the reflector head to insulate contact point. You will understand once you see it. I run 2 Scouts as back up on my Halcyon rig.
Genuine Halcyon LED globes are 1w while UK SLA eLED uses a 3w globe. I have both and the 3w is brighter while still just as focused as the Halcyon
Cheers
John p.s. Mick W from SOE my have a contact for the LED globes. |

Greg,
Have a look at the new Green Force C2eto lights, same high quality and rugged delivery of the Diamond but with 2 x C batteries instead of the CR123s in a diamond, same 250 msw rating and same elegant design.
PM me offline if you would like extra information mate. I will even have one at the Sydney Project meet if you want to meet me their and have a quick squiz |
