I was lucky enough to recieve a subscription to Sport Diving Magazine for christmass from a caring relative. I must say I was Happy, being new to diving and all, some reading material and diving related photography was keenly anticpated....
... and still is !!!
subscription went in mid december and I am still to recieve my first issue !
I have contacted the publisher ( a month ago), they confirmed my subscritption and said febuary would not be out untill nearly march !
Is this the norm ? does anyone else subscribe to sport Diving Magazine ?

Seems normal with December subscriptions, especially late december subcriptions, your first magazine would be the March issue. If it's like most ACP publications, next month's magazine seems to come out in the middle of this month. If you go into a newsagent now (mid Feb), you will find the March magazines on the stand.
If you're really unsure it has gone through ok, you can ring them up (look for subscriptions contacts near the credits page), and give them your name and expected delivery address and ask which issue you will get first.
-- It's on the internet, it must be true. |

I assume that this refers to the Australian magazine called Sportdiving. If yes, then the next issue is February/March. I have a copy that I got last Monday from the Editor. The magzine would normally come out about the first week of the first month of the issue but it is running late, probably due to Xmas and New Year. So if it comes out in the next week as I suspect it will, then it is nearly March. Note that this is not an ACP publication, but from a very small outfit called Mountain Ocean and Travel which operates from an outer Melbourne suburban house and has for over 20 years.

Yes I am a fellow subscriber and was starting to wonder where the next issue of the bi-monthly mag was. Before subscribing and after fist arriving in Oz...I trawled around all the newsagents expecting them to be monthly and was often known to be thinking how bad the magazine coverage was of a sport which is so popular in this country. Couldn't understand it - and to a certain degree...still can't.
Anyway...yes it should be out soon.

I was a subscriber to that mag last year and it always arrived in the second half of the second month of the issue.
If it feels good, do it but remember, admit nothing and deny everything and don't sign anything. |
