Hi All
This is my first time on a Forum but have been following this one one with great interest for sometime.
I treasure hunt with a metal detector mainly in port Phillip Bay and was interested if any one on this forum does the same.
p.s. (Hope I've posted this message correctly being first time and all)
Lukie

If you are doing it at sea make very sure you are familiar with State law about moving artifacts from discovered locations, it is not finders keepers for any item that may have come from a ship or shipwreck and it is not legal to remove artifacts from discovered locations if they have been there longer than 75 yrs....yes it's hard to know...and I don't know all the details about the rules, but it's worth having a look at least.

Thanks for the info Phill, I'm aware that there's Laws regarding wrecks and I certainly wouldn't plunder one anyway. I mainly dive around the Beaches, Piers, Rivers etc

These posters above know nothing.. More power to you and your search. Just the same, let us all know if you find a shipwreck.

The sails and rigging will be in tatters and a skeleton of the Captain (and possibly a skeleton of a parot on his shoulder) will be hanging onto the ships wheel.

They all have treasure too.. so keep up the good work.
