Well I can tell you guys are very fortunate having had such great conditions on a maiden dive. Rumour has it that the Nimmo on Sun only had half a metre vis . Any good bits that can confirm her identity.
Thanks & Great shots Greg |

Wow, this looks amazing, look forward to seeing more photos tomorrow Greg. The water is so clear.
How often would you get the right weather to get out this far?
This really is great, we now have three states doing some amazing work, Trev and his gang up north, Sydney Project in NSW, and Greg and this gang down south. Any one in Tassie? what about WA, NT?
Keep up the good work guys, so many wrecks yet to be found out there
Cheers, Samir www.sydneyproject.com www.limestonecowboys.com |

The photo on our website showing the deck crane, hatch, bulkhead and doorway match the drawings we have for the port side aft section of the Kanowna.
Plus the toilets (not photographed) as spotted by Mark correlate with the location of the Gents 2nd class lavatory.
We are reasonably happy this is the Kanowna but will look for more conclusive evidence.
And for you northerners, we always have conditions like this in Melbourne and Victoria. It is the best place to live and dive!!!!!!!!!

That looks like a fantastic wreck dive! Congratulations to you all. Seeing those photos makes me want to go out and get a trimix certification!
As far as the viz goes i am not surprised. It is not uncommon to get quite clear water off the Prom. On good days 30m or more is possible (of course when the weather is bad the viz can be absolute crap too). I dived the Carpentaria a few years ago in very good viz and it certainly enhances an already great dive.
Well done, Dave.
