Wreck Description: Sensational dive, but can only done on the MOST PERFECT of days. A loooong hike out of Ponde, the shallow part of the wreck sits up high on the rocks, where the swell pops up out of nowhere, even on the glassiest of days. Even in the deeper part, it can be surgy. The two days we have been there, the water has been oily, yet it was still quite surgy. Crayfish, Grouper, and lots of other life abound on this wreck, there is limited penetration, but there is a lot left, just fairly collapsed, and covered in growth. There is lots to see, as the wreck is protected, and basically undived. The 81metre boat struck the rocks on her way from Port Pirie, to South Africa, carrying wheat.
