SUMMER TIME :) :) :) [8D][8D][8D] []
I had a sort of wake up call yesterday , i went to donate blood and they couldnt get any out of me :( they said i must be dehydrated ,, well i drank three large glasses of water before i went in ,so how could this be . So they asked -what has your last 24 hours been like - well (Sunday) up early 6am to go to the markets, walked around for 6 hours then came home and worked in the garden had dinner around 6 then rested till 7 i had to start work at midnight for a 10 hour shift so i went to bed and tried to sleep got about 3 hours. i worked till 10.00am came home went to bed till 3 got up had three glasses of water and went to donate my BLOOD . Looking back i never drank any water (except for strong coffee) for over 24 hours [^|^] so WATER WATER WATER ITS VERY IMPORTANT :)

Yeah water or other liquids are very important, when exercising i try to drink about 4litres a day otherwise it's 2-3 litres. If i drink any less i get headaches and feel sh*t.

Went for an hours walk and play in the park today. Heading back to work tomorrow so will probably have a rest day and follow that with a gym session on Thursday.

Must stay focused this month, this is where we ALL do the most damage! Christmas parties, social drinks, catch up with friends and family in a sugar and alcohol filled month.

My one side of my work Christmas' party is tonight, my partners work on Friday night, needless to say a quiet weekend is planned, maybe a nice shore/pier dive on one of the days and sleep for the rest.

The following weekend is a lads trip to Hobart for few days of beer fuelled mayhem before we all head off in various directions across the world in 2009.

This is our buzy time of the year at work (Nov-Mar), so the hours are passing by. My foot is slowly healing, so much so I played a social game of mixed netball (yes, netball) and pulled up without to much grief. Hopefully I can get on the bike and resume riding very soon. I've been surprised about how much energy I do have when I'm not out exercising or burning it in other ways.

Made it back to work after the plane was a an hour late, luckily i still get paid the same. The weather was quite hot and humid so when i got back to the motel tonight it was nice to sit in the air controlled comfort of my room. Once i cooled down and the outside temperature followed i ventured out for a short walk to the gym. Did some weights for about 30 minutes. I'll follow it up tomorrow night with some cardio.
I definitely have to watch my portion sizes this month, the foods i eat aren't too bad i just like food and eat too much.

50 minutes cardio tonight and trying to cut my portion sizes, need to up my liquid intake as it getting pretty hot and i am not used to being out of the office and off my butt. Hopefully i start seeing results before xmas so it is easier to keep control over the xmas break. When i don't see results it is easier to slip back into party mode.

Water, walking & aqua aerobics will be my focus for the month.
Am the heaviest I have been for 7 years- have grown out of my CFA uniform (had our dinner meeting last night) & had trouble getting into a pair of pantyhose which had my other half in fits of laughter remembering a friend doing similar gyrations trying to get into a far too small wetsuit.........
Have set myself a goal of 4kg loss by mid Feb when hopefully I can start diving again, and another 5kg by my birthday in April- not much by some peoples standards but I have struggled lately to loose even .1 a week!

Went for a late session at the gym tonight. It is great having the place to yourself, i don't think i could enjoy myself in a large city gym. Did about 40 minutes weights and 10 minutes on the treadmill.I am feeling really good as a result of getting back into the exercise routine.

Hi , we went to a rather large Italian Engagement party last night , there was so much food i had water coming from my eyes :) there was 2 spits and a huge BBQ and all this amazing Italian food , so i found it hard to watch my portion size.
One good thing about eating alot was i could'nt fit much beer in.
so today i felt fine and did my exersize routine [8D]

I got a puppy from animal welfare league on Friday. Suddenly no more time for eating - let alone eating for something to do... And the only reason I get to type anything is cos she's asleep in my lap. That won't last long though - she will be way too big for laps soon.

Apparently I'm not supposed to take her for walks until she's had her final booster shot? She didn't want to go for a walk anyway - not sure why. I guess she's still trying to figure out where home is.

Had to turn a dive down today :( - cos I don't want to leave her on her own for 5 hours straight yet. Back yard not ready. Tomatos are still roaming loose with their snail bait.

Why is it this time of year is the only time when we catch up with lots of people & these catch ups all involve food & drink & lots of both????????????? Would be much smarter to spread it out over the year & much better for our wastelines! Yes wasteline not waistline as its a waste of time & money me going to aqua aerobics when I stuff myself silly at all these Christmas parties.
Poor little dog, whilst full of energy & rearing to go for walks etc, is still not 100% yet as she has a rest after a normal walk around the block- never used to do that!

Steer clear of super-sized portions [^x^]
Keep your body moving :)
Christmas would'nt be Christmas without lots of good food and drink .
Stop this from going to your hips , belly and thighs by balancing
any extra food with extra exercise .
Aim for at least half an hour each day and do something you enjoy ! if you keep active over the holidays you can worry
less about what you should and shouldnt eat , and you'll have a better chance of avoiding those extra Christmas kilos . [:-}]
Well thats easier said than done [8D]

I had two nights off due to catching up on some sleep, 10 hours two nights in a row and working 12.5 hours a day daoesn't leave much time for shower, dinner, breakfast and gym. So the gym lost out. Made it there tonight though for roughly an hour of weights and treadmill.

I feel like i am starting to harrden up a little under my big soft outer layer.

Well I've written off December already, the lads weekend was rather intoxicating and eat nothing but sh;t (although we did have some VERY nice Ab's on Saturday!) the whole time. Between now and the rest of the month I have my birthday, start leave, Christmas and new years, will attempt to be good, but I highly doubt it..

That said I went for a nice long ride (72kms) yesterday, took for ages and was stuffed at the end of it, but when your following the coastline the kms just tick by.

Lots of yummy food yesterday ...... the left overs in the fridge are slowly disappearing. Was flat chat all morning cooking & we did do 1/2 hour walk with the dog in the evening. Today we washed, polished, vacuumed & did the insides of 2 cars, plus will walk the dog soon- after an ice cream sundae....
[^()^][^()^][^()^]

Oh well it could have been worse!!

Hope you all had a good Christmas & that in 2009 we all get to where we want our fitness to be.

Been rather good in terms of the amount of food and drink consumed in the past weeks. Will find out the true effect of birthday/Christmas has had on the next dive penciled in for the 29th. Leave mixed with yummy leftovers is a big killer at this time of year. I'm sure we all do the "I'll eat to get rid of it and make some room in the fridge"

Hope we all had a pleasant Christmas and lets all keep focused for the new year!

Only exercise i've got has been pre-chrissy shopping and a small gym session yesterday. Today i'm off to the pool with my daughter and when it cools down this arvo i might go for a walk. Haven't been too bad on the food intake (not as bad as previous years anyway) definitely less booze, i still get caught out with the nibblys.
