I've gotta keep busy & not eat so much so I can get into my 7mm semi dry wet suit as will get a tad cold diving in my 5mm wet suit.
No one else to blame but me, but am feeling more positive at the moment & will do my best!

Hi all . its still very hot down here in south aus , but i love it [8D]
i must be a tad mad i've been walking and a little bit of jogging . There's a track i go on, its just a few ks long but it's very hilly, with a hill i've named HEART ATTACK HILL, because i figure if i don't exercise by going up and down it, one day i'll be a fat couch potato and i'll have a heart attack, maybe while diving. lol :)

Hi all

another kg seems to have disappeared but I feel a bit flabby and not toned.

Took puppy to the beach and got a lot of exercise chasing after her when she adopted new sets of legs (and dogs) to follow instead of coming back to me. Met a triathlete down there cooling off with her kelpie - her tone showed and her dog was a bit recalcitrant about coming back when called too. Effective control? Not yet. Fortunately no dog inspectors.

And fortunately my puppy's idea of greeting new people, toddlers and dogs is to roll on her back and put her paws in the air. Hard to frighten people doing that.

I found a local dog park with a fence a lot closer to home than the beach and have been going there first thing every morning for an hour or so. I think that's where that last couple of kg went. If I don't take the dog for a walk first thing, she's bonkers all day and chews what she ought not - more than usual, and it's been getting far too hot in the rest of the day to do anything but stay inside except for breaks to water the vege patch. But if she gets a decent walk - helped by chasing round with other dogs - she sleeps a lot and I get to use the computer whoo hoo.

Just waiting for it to cool a bit & I will take my dog to the park as she is full of energy. She loves water & would have a ball at the beach- were we not in land locked Ballarat [^|^]

Since being back at work i have been doning 30-40minute sessions at the gym each day. It's not quite as hot over here as SA but it's hot enough for me. Still feeling pretty good about exercise and food intake but my quantities have crept up a little. I should crack the tonne this month.

Hi Elleym

It's usually cool enough around 6am - when puppy insists on being let out for morning jobs.

So after jobs and before breakfast - we go to dog park. In the car.

Actually it's been very good for helping her get used to being in the car though she's still terrified when it comes to getting in and out of the car, I have to lift her in and place her, and once in, she doesn't move much. She used to not move at all, but now she will sit up occasionally and not just to throw up. Nice.

Hi Bunyip
Indy was not keen to get in car when we first got her- as it was being picked up from the vets after desexing. She loves the car now as she knows she goes places like off lead parks & Doggy Social Group..... its like having a child tho as she has "bug" & "kiwi", 2 soft toys there in the back seat with her!
Have finished our walk in the park in the dark on a few occasions lately, as it was so much cooler then. She gets very hot for a little scrawny dog- much more so than my long haired border collie did, so she has a clam pool for drinking out of & cooling of in!

Played hockey tonight in a mixed summer competition so it was pretty social and not too serious. I don't remember it being so strenuous, i am sore already. Not really looking forward to how it will feel tomorrow or the next day.

My working week ends tomorrow and i finally get to see my little baby in the hospital, looks like she isn't going home til next week.

Went for a walk tonight, my legs were stiff and sore very hard to get into a jog. They felt like i had lead weights strapped to them. My daughter got home from hospital today and the pram is quite heavy too but at least we can get out just no visits to the park for a while.

Took Hayley out of the house this morning for a morniing walk while Mum & Nan cleaned up the house a bit, over an hour pushing the pram. Quite strange going past the parks and Hayley not getting all excited, interesting how she knows she cant go and play. Will have to weigh in tomorrow haven't done it for a while, oh and i have a PT session at lunch i nearly forgot.

Still can't believe i'm under 100kg, first time in about 7 years now i need to keep my motivation up and get down to my target weight (90-93kg) hopefully this year. Went to my P.T. and had a session with the gloves and a few ab exercises.

Blown my recent good work out the door with 2 stints at the King Lake Fires...... that Salvation Army Catering van does too good a job feeding us.

I'm saddened by the devastation I have seen and the losses people have suffered, and yet they soldier on.....
I'm encourage by the generosity & spirit of people from all walks of life who are helping in any way they can

Good work Elleym you deserve more than a feed at the food van for getting out and helping the fight against the fires, you are more than likely burning a lot more energy than usual anyway.

Yesterday we all got out for a walk to the library, trying to keep our daughter entertained.

Today was a visit to my P.T. travel back to work tomorrow so probably have the day off exercising. I will have to pay extra attention to meal sizes while back at work and keep up the training should be a bit easier since the temperature has dropped a bit.

Played hockey on Tuesday night.

Still sore now. Still taking the dog for walks about an hour or so long every morning. She's taking to chewing what she should not anyway - though I fear it would be worse if I didn't walk her.

Everyone at hockey was complaining about putting on Christmas kilos - except me - whoo hoo. I actually left Christmas lunch still hungry - because I allowed for a second helping of Christmas pudding and then there wasn't any. Something to do with catering for 15 people and 21 turning up - oops.

Sheesh I'm hungry now for no good reason.

Hi all , i'm starting jogging again, i find thats the best way for me to lose weight, its great for diving, it really opens up your lung capacity . also i find, when i'm fit i breath deeper and slower which helps with air consumption (less CO2 produced).
i've still got a keg that i'd like to turn into a six pack, my girl does'nt like skinny guys so bugger the sit ups and crunches [8D]

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY :D :D
I've planned a surprise for my fiance -- first i'm taking her for lunch to the buffalo restaurant at glenelg, flash place looks like an old sailing ship, its on the water and sells nice seafood.
Then I take her to an 11th story room with a view and balcony. we'll stay there for a few games of chess and scrabble....not..lol[}:)]
and then we'll take it easy and choose a place to eat for dinner.
finaly we'll go back to the room and after a nice bottle of red we'll flake it.
So tomorrow i'll be a big fat bast..d again... lol.[8D]

Spent another 40 minutes at the gym tonight. I've been trying to push a bit harder lately and it seems to help.

My daughter has got another 4 weeks in her splint so that slows me down a bit when at home, still try to go for a walk and go to the gym though. I haven't been for a dive for weeks now, i think i'm drying out.

message to all wishing to lose weight.

Do not try or buy nuage soft cheese from Paris Creek Organic Dairy.

um. I can eat a couple of chocolates and not finish the supply off in one sitting.

I even managed to not eat all of the nuage in one go, but um I think I did have it for breakfast, lunch and tea and snacks for three days straight.

If you really must - buy enough apples to eat it with instead of eating it with jatz which are also extremely high calorie.

This is evil delicious cheese. Probably good for you if you're low in calcium?

Anyway - I'm off to play hockey tonight and walked the dog for an hour and a half this morning so hopefully the nuage will fall off real soon now.
