Hi all

My team made the grand final by not losing the semi final. Now the other team has to play the yellow and green ferals.

And I've had to bring in all my belts a notch or two to stop trousers and bum bags full of dog treats from falling off. Though this could be more to do with warm spring weather than weight loss or toning up.

Doggy made grade five - which means she comes when she's called. Well in front of the dog school instructor she does. But not at the afternoon walk oval. [B)]

Scuba club has "catch and cook" next weekend. Not real sure about getting cold and wet but the pissups might be fun. Then again I want to go watch the other team play the ferals and it clashes.

Hi Seadragon

P'Lincoln has the best hockey field and a very nice club rooms with very good food - well at least on Friday when the Oysters are fresh...

And we gave the Italian restaurant "Del Giorno's" across from Makybe Diva a big work out including writing something about our hockey over the bar - dunno how much they fit in before they scrub it off and start over...
www.delgiornos.com.au/

As best I can tell - Del Giorno's is the only place in town where you can get a proper cappucino. Even the pub sent us over there.

Hi, Bunyip we tried the capachinos at Del Giornos they were great
it's the busiest place in town, cheers for that, we could'nt see anything written about hockey above the bar they must rub it all off after a while. [8D]
Well my fitness has improved but i have a long way to go before summer hits. I'm the only DM in this new dive club and they've assured me i'll be kept busy. We have a great boat to use so i'm looking forward to it.. :D [8D]

Well the green and yellow ferals failed to beat the other AHC team, so AHC Red played AHC Blue in the Grass Grandfinal and dammit, my team lost 0-1 Sigh. Very close game, hard fought all the way, as best we could in hot sunny weather and a screaming Northery wind.

I felt I played ok and fitness wasn't a problem and I was hydrated ok - no cramps but - couldn't stop the beginnings of heat exhaustion. Quite a few of us had symptoms - dizzy spells, throbbing headaches, not being able to think clearly, and the wobbles, nausea. I think we might have been better off playing quarters. I've heard of footy players crippling themselves with heat stroke. Bleah.

I used ice, water sprayers, and poured cold water all over... but wasn't enough. Despite this I played a fairly good game most of the time, just couldn't contribute quite as much as I'd have liked if I wasn't feeling ill.

Its sad when you work in a food distribution company and have Reps from other companies coming in with samples so you can try them and then help our customers make informed decisions as to what they taste like and whether they should by them......... Priestlys Chilli Chocolate Cake is absolutely awesome! Bugger- I missed the little square on the box with the nutritional info on it, but chilli is good for us and so is dark chocolate so chilli chocolate cake would then have to be good for you?[?]

Yes Seadragon - that was the grand final my team lost. Just to confuse you - my club still won.

Had "training" for "golden oldies" last night. And one player had a shot at goal when a previous group were in front of her, still having their shot for goal. Didn't care - hit the ball at us anyway and got me on the back of the ankle - achillies still very sore from that assault and I'm still angry with her - she could have killed me [:(!]. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, and she's going to be on my team. She didn't say sorry either [:(!][:(!]. It's supposed to be SOCIAL hockey. Golden Oldies don't even keep score. And I'm not supposed to want to hurt someone on my team but I do. Note - she's not ever been on my team before, she belongs to a different winter club.

Hopefully my ankle will stop hurting and I will stop hating. [^|^]
