I am new to this site, and so far it seems good.
I live in the south eastern suburbs in melbourne,I love to snorkel, but find it hard to find a snorkeling buddy.
My friends are either scared of water.or can swim but fear the ocean.
I want to enjoy the sun,and the beach safely, and not risk going alone.
I am well prepared with equipment and ready to go.

Glad you like our forum, even though it's primarily used by scuba divers. Snorkelling with a buddy simply makes sense, not only is it way safer, you have someone who can share the experience. There are some great snorkel sites around Melbourne, and Mornington Peninsular Tourism even has a Snorkel Trail. www.visitmorningtonpeninsula.org/pdf/Mar...esGardenBrochure.pdf

The best way to find buddies is to become part of the Meetup Groups, and the one for snorkelling in Melbourne is www.meetup.com/Snorkelling-Melbournes-bay-and-Victorian-coast/

And don't miss reading Beneath our Bay by John Gaskell which showcases what and where to see spectacular sights in Port Phillip. The Authors only snorkelled these sites and used a basic point and shoot camera to provide the stunning images throughout this book www.andrewisles.com/all-stock/publicatio...rets-of-port-phillip
